Read all about the Ataxia Awareness Campaign in Exeter, running throughout June
Purpose
The page is aimed at the press and the public who have never heard of ataxia. It’s purpose is to combat the lack of awareness that people with ataxia have to face every day, both in public and from their healthcare professionals.
We want people to read our posters on city buses and rail station platforms and remember ‘ataxia.’ We want them to know that their own lack of awareness of the condition can make living with ataxia even more difficult.
We want people to know both sides of living with it: the potential that this condition has to ‘ruin lives’, and the strength and perseverance it takes for people who have ataxia to not let it.
