Amsterdam Marathon: 20 October 2024
The main distance during the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is the TCS Marathon. Enjoy the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam and walk along the most attractive passages of the capital.
The course in Amsterdam is known for its flat, fast and historic character. The start and finish will take place in the historic Olympic Stadium. This leaves an unforgettable impression every year, thanks to the presence of the supporters in the grandstand and marathon. The route of the Marathon follows part of the course of the Olympic Games in 1928 along the Amstel, past stately mansions and some windmills. This rural route offers beautiful views (including the Arena) and gives an impression of the enormous activity that prevails on the Amstel every day.
The course leads the participants close to the city centre of Amsterdam and has many highlights, which are also well worth a separate sightseeing tour. You can read some of the most attractive passages here.
