Ceri Leather is carrying out an incredible fundraising journey this year in aid of Ataxia UK.
Ceri’s dad was diagnosed with ataxia in the last two year’s after a lengthy struggle to achieve a specific diagnosis. His first consultant simply put his failing health down to ‘old age’. In this time his health has deteriorated and he relies heavily on mobility aids to get around. Like so many people neither Ceri, nor her father had heard of ataxia up until his diagnosis and this lack of understanding is even mirrored by many consultant’s who have never dealt with an individual with the condition.
Ceri recently took up running and has since become a self-confessed running geek! So this year she thought she would put her hobby to good use…but taking part in the following events: The Great Edinburgh Run, the Sunderland Half Marathon, the Edinburgh Half Marathon, Total Warrior, and just to cap it off, the Kielder Marathon!

Thank you Ceri…and the very best of luck!
